MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! :D

...and I have only 1,529 words. I am kind of jealous of both my friends (the ones who strong-armed me into this in the first place) both crossed 50,000 words. Hopefully I'll do better next year.

Since I haven't been very productive lately, I'm going to go ahead and post what I have here. But as a warning, this doesn't even make a whole lot of sense to me, and as it's unedited, there will probably be some mistakes. I'll try to go through it later to get rid of typos and the like, but that's about it.

Anyway, here's my rather pathetic NaNoWriMo entry for 2009:

The only other thing worth noting about my life is that I've been forced decided to take part in NaNoWriMo this year. I have nothing done (>1,000 words nothing), but I never had much expectation of getting this done at all. I'm still going to try, but I'll fail miserably. But I guess that isn't the point, right? The point is just trying to write? I'm trying to write something original for NaNoWriMo, because I almost never do, but all the things I feel like writing are relatively short fan fics. I'm considering switching to a fic, but I don't think that'll work out. :(

I've been looking at all the Hetalia Day posts, and they're pretty awesome. It's amazing that so many people from so many places are willing to get together, mostly in costume, and goof around, and act like fictional personified countries. I have to admit, I'm a little jealous. For one thing, I live in the middle of nowhere. (My campus will soon have a Starbucks, and it will be the only Starbucks, for sixty miles.). I could have hopped on a bus and gone to one of the meet-ups, but I was unavoidably busy that weekend. :( Maybe if there's a Hetalia Day next year I'll try to go.


Speaking of Hetalia, I need to catch up with the anime. (OMFG they animated Battle for America! :D ) That, and the dozen other series I'm watching/been meaning to watch. OTL

Speaking of Hetalia, I should probably go and post The Tower of Ice and Fog update I've been sitting on. Or any fic I'm working on. OTL

Speaking of Hetalia, I need to go back to working on my homework. OTL

In other news, ZOMBIE PROM IS COMING UP! :D

This Friday one of the clubs on campus is hosting a zombie prom. Basically, it's prom where people go dressed up as zombies. And dance to Thriller. And do stuff. I'm not even a big zombie person (in my mind, zombie movies = gratuitous gore = squick) but this sounds like fun, I know some people who are going, and I didn't go to my "real" prom in high school (because that didn't sound like fun).

There will be photos. In which I will probably embarrass myself. Yay!

I've really wanted to start posting work to my journal for a while, but most of my fan fics are incomplete and strewn around my computer like half-eaten food, and most of my doodles just sort of sit back and laugh at me. Then there was this weird Fantasy AU thing, which I first wrote for the Hetalia Kink Meme, jumping around, waving its arms in the air, shouting "Oh, oh pick me! Pick me!"

It's not even complete yet. Mostly because this is going to be hideously long.

So, uh, yeah.

Occasionally I read stuff. I stole this and wanted to give it a try. In the end it just made me feel illiterate. OTL

( My summer reading list just doubled in size. )

I'm slowly getting my writing groove back. Slowly. I am also displaying my talent for getting onto bandwagons really late.

I did three of these. One for a canon pairing, one for a historically canon pairing, and a crack pairing. To be fair, though, it started out as a crack pairing, but after this I can now see potential for, like, serious and good stuff. Seriously. I need sleep.

I may have cheated in one or two places, but shush.

( Hopefully this means I'll start writing again soon. )
